Illustration / Presentation of my experience at the Manaiakalani Hui.

My amazing experience at the Manaiakalani Hui.....

On Friday the 25th of August, I had an amazing opportunity to represent St. Pius X School at the Manaiakalani Hui.  It is An annual meeting of Manaiakalani school principals and teachers.  There were other people too.
There were students from the 12 schools in the cluster.  It was a very formal gathering.  I had to talk about how we do the Learn Create Share at our school..... I also was so fortunate to get an ambassador badge for presenting! I am so happy and would thank the Manaiakalani community for letting me have an opportunity!

Here is my Presentation I presented with my speech!

  1. Hi Lusia, Congratulations on being selected to represent St Pius at the Manaiakalani Hui! Even though I wasn't there I felt like I could share the experience through your DLO. I particularly like how you celebrate the Learn, Create, Share learning cycle with examples from your own journey. Do you mind me asking a question? On slide 4 you say the "learn" part of the cycle is "ubiquitous" - do you mind explaining what that means - you probably explained at the Hui, but as a reader I couldn't see how to relate that to the illustrations on slide 4. I also really liked that you annotated the photographs with thought bubbles to explain how you got out of your comfort zone, but that it was worth the reward! I will remember your words when I have to present at the University next month! Keep up the creative DLO work :) Kind regards Naomi

    2. Hi Noami,
      Thanks so much for your feedback! I really appreciate it! In my speech I explained what is ubiquitous means! "Learn is Ubiquitous, that means learning is not confined to the four walls of school or from 9 to 3."

    3. Ah yes, I get it now; like "anytime, anywhere" learning, in and out of the classroom!Nice word! I suppose with your digital device being portable you CAN take it anywhere :) I wish they had been around when I was at school!

    4. Yeah! I am so fortunate to have them!
      xx =)
