Day 9 Week 2 Activity 1/2 Summer Learning Journey 2016

Activity 1
Now that you have met my family it is time to think about your own family. On your blog tell us about your family. How many people are in your family? Do you have any brothers or sisters? What are their names?
My family!
I don’t have a very perfect family actually but I don’t care! I live with my grand/godparents and 1 of my half brothers. My grandma is called Malia, (my grandads sister) my godfather is called Massanga and My 3 uncle / half brothers called Sete,Francis & Charlie. I also have 1 little half sister and 1 baby half brother that I haven't seen him before but I would love too one day! I have a huge family actually! I’m in the Pahulu family, Wolfgram family, Leger family, Katavake family, matalinga family and lots more! I have a huge family around the world (That I haven’t met)!

This is also a photo of my dad’s family. This is not all of my dad's sisters and brothers children but it’s close. Some of them are in Australia.

Activity 2

Some families are very large and some are very small. Some of the smallest families are found in China where parents are allowed, by law, to have only one child. This is quite different from countries like America (U.S.A.) where some families have as many as 19 or 20 children. It is rare but it does happen!
In America, there is actually a family with 19 children who have their own television show called ’19 Kids and Counting.’ All 19 children have the same two parents (Jim Bob and Michelle) and every single one of the children has a name starting with the letter ‘J.’ The oldest children is a boy named Josh and the youngest is a girl named Josie. Amazing!
If you’d like to see a small clip from the show, follow this link: 19 Kids and Counting
Imagine that you were one of the Duggar children and you had 18 brothers and sisters. What do you think it would be like to have so many sisters and brothers living with you in one house? On your blog please tell us what you would like and what you wouldn’t like about living in such a large family.
Wow! Living with the Duggar family would be ruff but great to have a challenge everyday!!
I would like live: having sisters and brothers that is there for you because I am the only child, which means I am mostly lonely at times especially when your older too!

I wouldn’t like to live: in a large big family because sometimes what happens is if you can’t afford stuff to buy for the kids, Also it would be really hard to focus on each child. It would be so challenging to look after them at the same time like e.g cooking, cleaning, discipline and more.

Summer Activities! Day 8 Activity 1/2 Summer Learning Journey Week 2

Activity 1
What are your favourite things to do in the summer time? For this activity you have two different options: (1) You can take a picture of yourself doing one of your favourite summer time activities and upload it to your blog along with a description of what you’re doing or (2) you can write a paragraph that tells us about what you love doing in the summer on your blog. It is completely up to you!
When It was summer  time I used to go down north to see my aunt's house in Snells Beach! We had a family reunion there. She had a house right by the beach (I mean like you can just walk at her backyard and there it is!). This is me and my family going to the beach to swim and kayak/sailing. We also take a boat with us so we can do tubing! Tubing is where a boat is riding through and you are on a donut or a board that is tied up to the boat! So much fun! Enjoy!

Day 7 Bonus Activity Week 2 - Summer Learning Journey!

Bonus Activity
According to numerous researchers and fitness experts, breakfast is the most important meal of the day. They argue that people who eat breakfast will have more energy, be in a better mood, be able to think more clearly, do better at school and end up healthier than people who don’t eat breakfast.
Interestingly, not everyone agrees. In fact, some people believe that breakfast is not the most important meal of the day because people often eat too much food at breakfast time, gain weight and become unhealthy. They think that it is better to skip breakfast and eat a number of small meals later in the day.
After reading the arguments presented above, what do you think? Is breakfast the most important meal of the day? Why or why not?
I think that Breakfast is the most important meal during the day because....
Breakfast wakes you up and give you energy to keep you active for what’s coming like school, work and lots more! I really think that breakfast is important because it wakes your brain and fulls your stomach with a great meal. Also that leads to healthy mindset, great focus on your learning /education, work and more!
I advise that parents need to provide breakfast to children to be focused at school for better mindset! Plus if they don't, they would be no focusing at school, no learning or educating and also they would be having a empty/grumbly stomach. So I think that breakfast is the most important meal during the day!
Have a great holiday! Bonus Activity = 8 points

Would you be scared? Would you feel confident? Write a short poem that describes how you might be feeling (i.e. excited, happy, scared, nervous, etc).
This is my poem hope you enjoy!
The plane is ready to fly off through the clouds,
My excitement began to overcrowd,
Than I saw a beautiful overcloud,
That look like a summer cloud,
My nervous started to overload,
then suddenly it overflown.
Loving this overload,
but hopefully it is time to go!

Bonus Activity Week 1 Day 5 - Summer Learning Journey 2016

Bonus Activity It’s time to use your imagination to write a short story. I’ve provided you with three different beginnings for a story. Choose your favourite beginning and finish the story. What happens next? You can use your imagination and create any ending that you want. To earn full points, you must post, at least 8-10 sentences, on your blog.
I looked around the room. Nothing seemed unusual, but then…
I knew it was going to be an unusual day when my mom came into my bedroom and said...
The spaceship was out of control and only one person could save us....

I looked around the room. Nothing seemed unusual, but then..........

I saw something that didn’t really look the same from the others that I see all the time. I saw flowers everywhere, a neat clean coach that wasn’t there before, the bedrooms were clean even the kitchen too, I wonder what is going on in this house!? I just came back from camp 1 week ago, thinking what the hell happened to my grandparents? Is there a visitor again, ohhhh goosh I had enough of visitors already! Then my grandparents said the most amazing and exciting thing in my entire life! Okay i’m going to say it………. THEY WON THE  LOTTERY!!!! $4.MILLION DOLLARS!!! “I COULDN’T BELIEVE IT!” I said. My grandparents looked me in the eye with happiness and said “we are going to America to see your grandpa!!”

I felt inside sooo excited and outside felt so grateful that I have grandparents that love me so much! I packed all my things and headed to the airport looking at my ticket and thinking I can’t believe i’m going to america to see my grandpa again! Than when we got through security I had the most horrible shock that had happened! My grandma fell down and almost had a heart attack, seeing all the people looking, seeing the stuff calling the ambulance and seeing the sadness on my grandpa’s face feeling worried and scared for his life......

TO BE CONTINUED...
