Activity 1
Once you have read these phrases you will be ready to leave the airport and head to your hotel. Take a moment and imagine how you might feel if you were standing in the airport in a foreign country and you had to figure out how to communicate with people in a brand new language. Would you be scared? Would you feel confident? Write a short poem that describes how you might be feeling (i.e. excited, happy, scared, nervous, etc).
This is my poem hope you enjoy!
The plane is ready to fly off through the clouds,
My excitement began to overcrowd,
Than I saw a beautiful overcloud,
That look like a summer cloud,
My nervous started to overload,
then suddenly it overflown.
Loving this overload,
but hopefully it is time to go!

Activity 2

PIXECT-20160927195141.jpgTake a selfie that captures how you might be feeling.

I think that I would most likely be a little nervous but so excited!!

  2. Hi Lucia, But I don't think you poem rhymes. Maybe next time you should reread your poem and make sure it makes sense. Also your picture, it doesn't show that your nervous/excited.
    But Keep It Up!

  3. Hi Lusia,

I can see from your picture that you look pretty excited to head overseas. From what I can see, you don't look too nervous. Perhaps you are hiding your nervousness? I try to do that, too, if I don't want it to be obvious that I'm feeling a bit anxious about something :) I am confident that you will love it once you arrive!

Like Von, I also really like your poem. It doesn't rhyme but the great thing about poetry is that it doesn't have to. Poetry is a really flexible form of writing with very few rules. That is why I like it so much!

I hope that you enjoyed writing the poem and taking your selfie. You've done a very nice job!

    Cheers,
    Rachel
